Hot rolled coil or HR coil finds use in many industrial applications. So many components and parts can be made by forming and shaping the coil. A flat coil with a uniform surface is a result of a hot rolling process that involves heating the steel and passing it through many rollers. As it is treated under high temperatures, it has become malleable and thus can be easily shaped. HR coil is better in terms of price in comparison to other kinds of steel coils, like cold rolled and galvanized coils.
